Outreach / Missions

“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded and Lo I am with you always.” Matthew 28:19-20.

The Outreach/Missions committee exists to direct and inform the congregation in carrying out the Great Commission, reaching our local community and those around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Cornerstone supports missionaries working worldwide through MTW (Mission to the World) and other national and local organizations including Pregnancy Help Center, and the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.

WIC (Women in the Church)

The stated purpose of Women in the Church is that “every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.” Cornerstone’s WIC is open to all women who attend Cornerstone, and meets at the church monthly. WIC plans activities and fellowship events and works to encourage and support members of the congregation and various ministries. Opportunities for involvement include preparation of funeral dinners, an active prayer chain and a year-long Secret Sister program.

Bible Study / Fellowship

A ladies’ Bible study meets at the church at 9:30 am on Tuesdays during the school year.

There is a Wednesday afternoon online Bible Study at 2:00 pm during the school year.

There is a Wednesday evening online Bible Study at 7:00 pm during the school year.

In the summer, we have church-wide Backyard Fellowships: bi-weekly Wednesday evening events hosted by various church families. Families attending bring their own lawn chairs and a dessert to share, and the host family provides beverages. A devotional activity or message is lead by one of the elders.

The men of the church meet at 8:30 am on the third Saturday of each month at What’s Cook’n restaurant in Boardman for breakfast, fellowship and a devotional message.
